BBQ Chickpea Pizza

Who doesn’t love a delicious BBQ pizza? This one is loaded with good for you ingredients, full of protein and super easy to make.  Pick-up any premade pizza dough at your local health food store, make your own, OR use whole wheat pita for minis!

Ingredients:

  • Store bought pizza crust or bottom of choice
  • Chickpeas
  • Organic Barbeque Sauce
  • Red onions, chopped
  • Orange or green bell pepper, chopped
  • Fresh cilantro or parsley
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Option to sprinkle with vegan cheese of choice

Directions: 

Mix chickpeas in with some barbeque sauce in a small sauce pan over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring the whole time.  Spread barbeque sauce over crust. Then, layer on all toppings, and bake 6-8 minutes (or more if using a store bought crust that requires more baking time) at 425 degrees.  Enjoy!
