When I tell people I am a yoga instructor, sometimes they say, “Oh, that’s like Pilates, right?” It’s bizarre, often times, for those unfamiliar with either, Yoga and Pilates are somehow lumped together in people’s minds. As in: the two are somehow the same or so similar that if you do one it’s as if you do the other. Of course, I am biased and couldn’t disagree more, but there are some similar elements which include a multitude of ways to strengthen your core, and lengthen and strengthen your whole body.
